GLP-1 Support

The medication may quiet the food noise.I want to help you change what was underneath it.

GLP-1 medications can create an incredible window of relief — less hunger, fewer urges, and less constant thinking about food. But medication alone does not necessarily change the beliefs, emotional patterns, habits, or relationship with food that existed before it.

I help you use this quieter period to understand those patterns, change your responses, and build a relationship with food that is not entirely dependent on appetite suppression.

A Unique Window

When the noise gets quieter, we finally have room to work.

A client working with a practitioner as food noise becomes quieter

For many people, food has occupied an enormous amount of mental space for years.

What should I eat?What shouldn't I eat?Why did I eat that?How do I get back on track?Why can't I stop thinking about food?

When a GLP-1 reduces that constant noise, something important can happen: there is suddenly more space between the thought, the urge, and the response.

I see that space as an opportunity.

Instead of only enjoying the temporary absence of food noise, we can use this period to understand what has been driving your eating and begin building different responses.

Medication can change appetite. It doesn't automatically rewrite the pattern.

When Things Change

What if the food noise comes back?

This is one of the most important questions I hear.

Some people remain on GLP-1 medications long term. Others reduce their dose, discontinue medication, experience insurance changes, or simply notice that hunger and food thoughts begin increasing again.

Those decisions belong between you and your prescribing medical provider.

My work focuses on something different:

What happens inside you when hunger, cravings, stress, emotion, or old thoughts about food become louder again?

I want you to have more than one tool.

I want you to understand your patterns, recognize what is happening, and know how to respond without immediately returning to restriction, guilt, overeating, or another diet.

How I Work With You

We use the quieter moments to build new ones.

01

Understand the pattern

We look at when, where, and why eating has felt difficult — including emotional triggers, automatic behaviors, old beliefs, stress, restriction, and the experiences that shaped your relationship with food.

02

Change the response

Through counseling, practical tools, and hypnotherapy when appropriate, I help you interrupt automatic patterns and begin creating different responses.

03

Build something sustainable

The goal is not perfect eating. It is greater trust, awareness, flexibility, and the ability to respond to food and emotion without feeling controlled by either.

Why I use hypnotherapy

A great deal of our behavior happens automatically.

We can consciously know what we want to do and still find ourselves repeating the same response.

Hypnotherapy gives me another way to work with the beliefs, associations, emotional responses, and habitual patterns that can operate beneath conscious thought.

For some clients using GLP-1 medications, the reduction in food noise creates an especially useful period to begin this work because there is less urgency competing for their attention.

This May Feel Familiar

You do not have to wait until something goes wrong.

I'm taking a GLP-1 now and want to use this time to change my relationship with food.
I've lost weight, but I realize my thoughts and emotions around food have not changed as much as my body has.
I'm considering reducing or stopping medication and I'm afraid the food noise will return.
My food thoughts or old eating patterns are already beginning to come back.

The goal is not to replace one form of control with another.

For many people, the years before GLP-1 medication included dieting, restriction, overeating, guilt, starting over, and constantly trying to regain control.

If appetite begins increasing again, it can be tempting to return to exactly those strategies.

I want to help you build another option.

One based on understanding rather than punishment. Awareness rather than fear. Tools rather than willpower. And a relationship with food that leaves room for real life.

My role

I do not prescribe GLP-1 medications or advise clients to begin, stop, increase, or decrease medication.

Medication decisions should always be made with your physician or prescribing medical provider.

My work focuses on the behavioral, emotional, habitual, and subconscious patterns surrounding food, eating, and weight.

GLP-1 Support

Use this window to build something that lasts.

If a GLP-1 has given you relief from constant food thoughts, I want to help you use that space intentionally.

We can work on the patterns underneath the eating, strengthen the tools you will carry forward, and build a relationship with food that feels less dependent on control.
